As the song from the band, America, states "Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man that he didn't, didn't already have." This is the moral essence of the L. Frank Baum classic. Within each of us, especially those most impressionable, lies the intelligence, courage and heart to achieve the unimaginable.
It is not only our obligation but it is in our collective best interest to do everything within our power to inspire our youth to greater heights, reduce the barriers that stand in their way and provide support to overcome every hurdle. It is the key to the growth of our economy, the maintenance of our society, and the security of our most promising future. |
|
Building off the lessons from Oz, we know that we can only put our youth on a path to a better place if we help them recognize the amazing possibilities they possess within themselves.
It is our hope that by fostering better collaboration among the many groups and individuals who influence our children's future, we can produce communications that provide them with the guidance, inspiration and help they need to tap into their potential. There are thousands of wonderful stories that demonstrate what can happen when government, corporations and citizens work together to bring out the best of our youth. Stories that illustrate, in a very personal way, the possibility that we all possess. |
